Sochi Airport misses Olympic budget
Open-Joint Stock company “International airport of Sochi” negotiates over gaining credit of 140 million rubles for reconstruction of the airport.
The city administration has emphasized that the reconstruction works should be expedited in the view of preparations to Olympic-2014. From now on the airport reconstruction will be in charge of a new owner, who will buy out the airport stock from the state.
An evaluation commission of the international Olympic Committee will visit Sochi in February-March of next year. The airport reconstruction, which will start on September 15, must be completed by then.
Sochi administration doesn`t exclude the possibility of increase in expenses for airport runway reconstruction. At present moment the sum comes to 1.7 milliard rubles.
