Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay To Unite Russia

To mark one year prior to the arrival of the Olympic Flame to Russia, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee has declared the route that the Olympic flame will travel in the hands of 14,000 torchbearers, over 123 days, and through 2,900 towns and settlements.

Russian Rock-Stars Perform at London Olympics

The Sochi 2014 Cultural Olympiad and the RED ROCKS festival brought the most popular Russian as well as Ukrainian rock stars to the Summer Games in London. Two concerts took place during the Games; one last 28 July, following the Opening Ceremony for the Games and the second on the 11 August, prior to the Closing Ceremony. Visitors to Russia.Sochi.Park in Kensington Gardens will be able to hear music from Garik Sukachev, Mumy Troll, the bands Bi-2, Vopli Vidopliassova and Okean Elzi. Guests at the concerts in London will also have the chance to record a Fans' Anthem for the upcoming Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.

Sochi 2014’s "Golden Hundred" to take the spotlight in London

Over a hundred Sochi 2014 volunteers have left Moscow and is bound for London for the Olympic Games. The Sochi 2014 volunteers will help their British counterparts during the Summer Games. The volunteers will then apply the valuable experience they gain at the next Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi. The London 2012 Organizing Committee was directly involved in selecting the 104 strong team of volunteers, aged between 18 and 70 from 17 cities in Russia.
