Sochi 2014 hires Detech to meet staffing needs

Detech, a Russian HR company has been confirmed as the latest supplier of the Sochi 2014
Olympic and Paralympic Games.

An agreement with Detech was signed by their managing partner Svetlana Simonenko and Sochi
2014 President as well as chief executive Dmitry Chernyshenko at a special ceremony.

Detech come on board in the "Staff Assessment Products" category, and the company will assess competencies of candidates to work and volunteer for Sochi 2014 .

"We are honoured to become a provider for "Sochi 2014" Organising Committee," said
Simonenko.

"The main goal of our methods is to increase personnel effectiveness by revealing
personality traits and abilities of people.

"We are glad to help assess and select the right people of all levels for preparing and holding Olympic competitions."

The HR company use techniques such as online competency tests and interactive interviews to
find the best candidates. They will play an integral part in staffing the 26 Sochi 2014 volunteer centres, with over 25,000 volunteers also set to work at the Games.

Detech will also be part of Sochi 2014's recruitment programme, and will work with the likes of Kelly Services, Adecco and Exect. Staffing is a key concern for Sochi as they need to bring in 150,000 employees for the Winter Olympics, more than a quarter of the population of the Black Sea resort.
