The Russian Olympic Committee and the Central Bank have come up with a concept to introduce
in the Olympic Games in Sochi, which will be held in 2014. The special hundred-ruble note will be released for the coming Sochi Olympic games, reported by the newspaper “Izvestia”.

According to the newspaper, the new bill will be exactly one hundred days before the Olympics, that is, at the end of 2013. With the design of banknotes officials have not decided yet. It is also unknown, and exact copies of issue.

If the newspaper is confirmed, the new release will be the first major modification of a hundred-ruble notes from the time of its introduction, that is, since 1997. Usually, central banks for the Olympics Games host countries produce coins, not bills. Thus, the Organizing Committee of Sochi have already announced that by 2014 10 million minted coins to 25 rubles.

The first country, which released “Olympic notes,” was China who took the Olympic Games in 2008. On these banknotes for the first time in a long time has not been shown, Mao Zedong.
